The new Director of The IFR, Dr Morné Mostert, will facilitate an interactive process entitled Surfing the Paradigm - Examining Future Mind-sets. The mind is in constant danger of 'setting', that is, adopting a fixed posture towards decision-making and possibilities that the future hold. This dynamic process invites delegates to evaluate and define their own philisophical vantage points on the future as a means of enhancing decision-making. Mind-sets are not only relevant to individual leaders, but also apply to organisations, where fluid mind-sets increase agility and strategic responsiveness. Delegates will leave the workshop with a full spectrum of conceptual points of departure through which their trend-consciousness will be enhanced.
